On-loan Grampus striker/midfielder Tomohiro Tsuda is back to full fitness after missing the early part of the season, and is helping the Naruto-based team maintain its challenge for a promotion place. Tsuda, pictured below at a recent practice session at Tokushima Sports Village, has scored in each of the last three games as Vortis have firmly established themselves as one of the promotion contenders.
Although Tsuda is on loan from Nagoya, as has proved a big hit at Vortis, where regular playing time has seen him blossom into the key player many Grampus fans hoped he would do at Nagoya. He has benefitted greatly from this experience, and his leadership and versatility make him a valuable asset for manager Naohiko Minobe. Although mostly used as a striker, he is also able to play attacking midfield allowing the manager to field his 4-3-3 formation, even though this varies between 4-5-1 and even 4-4-2 during the course of a game.
